My undergraduate studies took me in the direction of engineering, chemistry and environmental science. After attending BCIT and then completing a BSc at Simon Fraser University, my family and I moved to Toronto where I attended the Canadian College of Naturopathic Medicine, and received my Doctorate in Naturopathic Medicine.
Upon graduation, I moved back home to build the Kamloops Naturopathic Clinic. My goal was to develop a clinic that offered both the fundamentals of Naturopathic Medicine , but also the most up to date, evidence based natural therapies and treatments. My motivation has allowed me to travel extensively throughout Canada, United States, and Europe to be able to learn and integrate these therapies and treatments into our clinic.
My particular focus is on prevention and treatment of chronic degenerative disease . I believe that a positive healthy outlook, and a positive healthy lifestyle can prevent and often reverse chronic disease. Much of my continuing education has been in the field of bio identical hormone replacement therapy and anti-aging medicine.
I hold several certifications in Aesthetic Medicine, with specialty and individual training, and have more recently found myself continuing to learn the newest methods in in this field. My focus is on Mesotherapy, Platelet Rich Plasma, Lipotherapy, Dermal Fillers and Chemical Peels. As such I have recently opened Kamloops Medical Aesthetics which focuses not only on external rejuvenation and youthfulness, but also on the internal health of each individual.
I am a member of the American Academy of Anti-Aging medicine, Meso-Lipotherapy Society, Occidental Research Foundation, and the Oncology Association of Naturopathic Physicians. I am also current the Vice President of the B.C. Naturopathic Association, and board certified in Chelation Therapy, Oxidation Therapies, Prolotherapy and hold Prescriptive Authority. I am also a member of the Vancouver Metis Society.
